Based in the Saint Etienne region, near Lyon in France, ECAI was founded in 1994.
Initially specialized in process engineering and industrial electricity. A few years later, ECAI carried out its first retrofit project on a ring rolling mill and decided to create a mechanical design department to build its own machines based on electromechanical technology.
Thanks to its team of around 50 people, ECAI has become one of the world's leading players in the field of rolling mills in terms of the number of machines in service.
At the same time, ECAI has developed its activities in process engineering and industrial electricity both in France and internationally.
With its 700 m² design office, 1,500 m² electrical workshop and 2,500 m² mechanical workshop based in Saint Etienne (France), ECAI has complete control over the production of its machines, which are built to high standards using only European-manufactured components.
